Mamma Launches Auction-Style PPC

The Canadian-based search engine Mamma.com announced today it would be adding an auction-style component to its pay-per-click ad program.

The Canadian-based search engine Mamma.com announced today it would be adding an auction-style component to its pay-per-click ad program.

Get the details from Mamma herself now.
The move will likely bring in additional revenue dollars for the company as advertisers now have more control over how and where their contextual ads appear in the Mamma.com network.
There will also be some new tools, including a keyword suggestion tool, traffic and bid estimators, an auto bid adjuster and an API service for search marketers.
Next thing you know, Mamma will be signing up for an email account.

Remember, Mamma is not new to this game. They have been around for a while, but purely as a meta-search engine that also sold fixed fee paid listings.While they now have their own engine, it looks like they’re still pulling links from 3rd parties. I did a search on "search engine marketing" and got results from Ask, that presumably came by way of Google.Funny how intertwined this whole category is.
