With all the buzz comparing Apple’s latest actions to old school meanie Microsoft, it could be a short time before this guy gets the blog boot a la Mark Jen.
We’re talking about “Genius-like” - aka the LiveJournal of “The Mac Genius”, who has some fairly good dirt on what it’s like to be behind the Genius Bar at Apple.
Even though there’s only 4 posts, they’re all priceless, including this tidbit:
It is a prestigious role, to say the least. I regularly bask in the prestige of removing popsicle sticks, coins, and Yu-Gi-Oh cards from CD drives.
He also has insights on actual cost vs. mark-up of replacement parts that you may want to read sitting down if you’ve had any repair work done recently.
