Involuntary settlements in the Soviet Union might not sound like the most thrilling read. But to the folks at Wikipedia, it’s about as exciting as it gets. That’s because the title marks the 500,000th English article on the site.

Having a total number of articles that far exceeds that of any other encyclopedia project is impressive enough, not to mention the fact that the site remains highly usable in spite of its weight and girth.
