MSN Search has added a number of new features, including the ability to search blogs as part of an upgrade that includes the addition of new ranking system, dubbed ‘Neural Net’.
Among the new operators:
- Filetype: Search for information by document format - txt, html, Word, pdf, etc.
- Link and LinkDomain: Find pages that link to a single page. Bloggers can check up on who’s linking to them and how.
- Contains: Search for pages where there’s a hyperlink to a file with the named extension. This one can be used to search blogs by entering [term here] contains (rss xml rdf atom).
- In URL: Find pages that have text within a URL - here’s an example for “Darth Vader”.
