Technorati founder and CEO Dave Sifry announced the launch of the public beta of a major site redesign yesterday.
Here’s what’s new:
- A more streamlined user experience making the site more accessible to those new to blogs.
- Expanded tag functionality with the ability to bring in photo and links from Flickr, del.icio.us, Buzznet and others for searches that match corresponding tags.
- Advanced search features, including “Search by URL” and “Search by Tags”.
- More personalization, with watchlists, claimed blogs and profile info all on the home page.
- No RSS reader needed to watch your favorite searches, users can now view them all on one page.
Great redesign and even better blog post announcement. It’s nice to see a corporate blog getting it right. Then again, he’s the CEO so you know he’s gotta be smart…
