News of the weird just got weirder. Check out these happenings from the world of the tech:
- Dogcasts?!: Man’s best friend will be at the forefront of technology thanks to Purina, who today launches a series of pet podcasts containing advice and tips on how to care for your animal. They’re available at the downloads page. The site even features a RSS feed. Not too shabby for a product most wouldn’t think of as cutting edge.
- One Site That Didn’t: Ten years ago Suck.com was one of the funniest, if not nastiest sites on the Web. Today it’s no more. Author Matt Sharkey takes a look back in this article called The Big Fish. Find out what went on in the minds of two men who posted this as their manifesto: ” At Suck, we abide by the principle which dictates that somebody will always position himself or herself to systematically harvest anything of value in this world for the sake of money, power and/or ego-fulfillment. We aim to be that somebody.”
- Standing Tall (not really): Tom Cruise is 5′7, ex-wife Nicole Kidman is just shy of 5′11. Is it any wonder they weren’t a match? Just type “[celebrity name] height” or “[celebrity name] age” to see related stats on Google and mock away. Lifehacker.com has more.
- I Wish I Were A…: It’s hot dogs in their highest nitrate-laden form. A collection of Japanese food art that makes mystery meat seem almost palatable (link via CoFactors)
