It’s Not Wikipedia, It’s Uncyclopedia

Wikipedia’s wicked little brother gets free reign in the Uncyclopedia, an online archive of misinformation, urban legends and articles on the untrue.
Here’s are few favorite articles to get you started, but it won’t take long before you discover your own on this highly addictive site:
- The Perils of Kitten Huffing
- The Real Story Behind Aerosmith’s Frontman
- A Talk Show Host’s Ties with Satan
Knowing I probably couldn’t count on Uncyclopedia itself for the real story behind the site’s founding, I turned to this entry on Wikipedia for the real deal.
Apparently Uncyclopedia began in January 2005 as some satire entries on Wikipedia and quickly caught on with users. By May it had outgrown its original webhost and moved to Wiki, where it now resides.
Nice to see something good grow out of what others may consider abusing the system.
