Make room on the the bookmobile, Microsoft’s getting on board.

Microsoft’s MSN division has just announced its plans to start a print project to rival that of Google and (more recently) Yahoo.

“MSN Book Search” will be unveiled sometime in the first half of 2006 and will allow for the search of non-copyrighted works. According to Danielle Tiedt, content acquisition manager at MSN, this includes books published before 1923, which aren’t subject to copyright restrictions in the US.

PC World has more.
