Battle of The Sexes Goes High Tech

Written By Reprise Media | November 11, 2005 | Share This |

It’s a back-and-forth battle of the sexes in the blogosphere this morning.

First blogger Joi Ito is named one of the 10 Most Powerful Women in Blogging, not too shabby for someone sporting a Y chromosome. As someone with a gender neutral name who’s had to field “Is Mr. Bradley available?” calls from telemarketers and the occasional recruiter, I just want to say I feel for you, Joi.

Then Autoblog’s Eric Bryant takes on a stupid and sexist misguided General Motors ad campaign in this post. Best quote: “The whole thing just reeks of ad guys who are trying to act tough, when we know damn well they’re not driving pickup trucks to their chest-waxing appointments.” (link via Traffick)

Closing things out is 26 year-old Lilac Mohr of Denver. She’s the creator and producer of “Geek Gorgeous”, a calendar featuring women who make their living in high-tech. See a few samples here.

One Response to “Battle of The Sexes Goes High Tech”

I’m surprised didn’t Christine from Chris vs Chris didn’t make it onto the list of one of your 10 most power women in blogging she carries a big stick and will swing it occasionally. It seems battle of the sexes sites are popping up everywhere.
