iTunes has beat out the likes of Tower Records, Sam Goody and Borders to place #7 in the list of the Top 10 US Music Retailers and is expected to move even further up the list by the end of this year.

Crazy the pace at which consumers are purchasing music online, particularly the tremendous rate at which the iTunes product has grown. More than 7 out of 10 digital music sales made on PCs in the US now take place through iTunes. Pretty impressive for something that’s been around less than three years.
