What was once a three-way competition between Google, Yahoo and Microsoft has become a “two-horse” race with Microsoft and Google both vying for an prominent partnership with AOL.
According to this article by Kenneth Li, AOL is a “critical swing factor” for search traffic, with Microsoft and Google each submitting proposals. Talks are expected to conclude sometime in the next few weeks.
