MordComm, Inc. - the folks who brought you the Adwatcher click fraud monitoring tool - is getting into the publishing business this spring; they’re all set to debut the “first and only” print periodical about SEM, Search Marketing Standard. That’s with ink, paper, the whole bit.
Publisher Boris Mordkovich seems eager to get his show on the road, and is offering a free 1-year subscription to US customers (and a steep discount to international readers), good through the end of February. Those who jump at the chance can expect, according to the press release:
“…articles and advice from leading experts in the field, interviews with the who’s-who of the industry, reviews of the most popular tools and services, latest news and trends, and much more.
If you’re after more detail, the fledgeling quarterly’s homepage boasts a short teaser of their May cover story, Untold Myths of Search Marketing: 10 Ways to Avoid Getting Scammed. Sadly, the myths themselves have yet to be decloaked, but hopefully we’ll avoid getting scammed until they street.
What do SEM folks think? Search Engine Roundtable points out a discussion in progress at the Cr8site forums. At least a few seem hesitant to get their fingerprints on the first issue of Search Marketing Standard, but for the doubters, the mag’s blog is already live.
