Its name sounds like a hard-to-put-together shelving unit straight out of the IKEA catalogue, but Krugle is actually a new search engine developed specifically for coders.
It was debuted today at DEMO 2006, an industry event showcasing emerging technologies.
According to this press release, Krugle is more than a one trick pony:
“Krugle Provides Programmers a Single Place to Quickly Find the Source Code They Need, the Information They Need to Evaluate it, and the Tools They Need to Share It.”
Now if could only help all those programmer geeks get a date…
Lots more commentary here in the Naked Conversations blog, including some thoughts on Krugle’s ’stealth’ marketing strategy.

This marketing is very stealthy indeed. Wait for a beta in March. Why would I bother?
Great idea this stealth marketing. Dissapoint everyone and drive them to the competition. Koders.com already exists.
Also like koders and codase. For java there is docjar. Some have Eclipse plugins.
Let’s see how long Krugle will survive. Google has something similar now and there seems to be another startup with a much better technology. Check out http://merobase.com
