Qoogle and Google Video Search Updates (No, Really)

Naming a site or service is easy. All you have to do is find one that already has a name and change one letter.

Take, for instance - Quoogle Video, a nifty little site that lets you search YouTube for videos.

Note to Qoogle administrators: You might want to put some sort of filter on the list of recent queries appearing below the input box. Seems there’s a lot of (shock) pervs out there.

Note #2 to Qoogle guys: You might also want to check on the copyright infringement of your logo. We’re just sayin’…

In slightly more ‘legit’ news, Google Video has released an update to its interface, a “Continuous Playback” feature that’s been turned on by default. Google Blogoscoped has more.

Most likely this was done in the interest of site stickiness, but as this site points out, the potential for problems is huge.

For an example of video content and presentation done right, check out the video clips page of comedian Jim Gaffigan. The Hot Pockets clip comes highly recommended by yours truly.
