Beware The “Silent Surfers”

Interesting new report out of the UK, one that says the majority of web users aren’t participating online, opting to passively read and digest information instead.
Over half (53%) of users do not “talk back” via polls, competitions and other methods, despite being prompted by over 92% of web sites to do so.
The poll of European web users, conducted by Jupiter Research, also described those who are providing content as being predominately young and male and having a disproportinately large influence on the web media (remember this guy?).
