tuesday roundup 4-11.jpg

Just getting together the stray search news bits this afternoon and penning them up.

Look Live for price comparisons Beta News says that Microsoft is going to roll out a product comparison tool called Live Product Search as part of its Windows Live amalgamation. Comparisons to Google’s Froogle tool are already running rampant, although Live Product Search will apparently feature links to relevant external articles and product reviews, one thing Froogle doesn’t do.

Yahoo! News getting a bit wonk-y Search Engine Journal has it that Yahoo! News has agreed to carry political analysis from RealClearPolitics in their opinion section. Says RealClearPolitics publisher Alan Warms on SEJ, “RealClearPolitics aims to deliver commentary and analysis for Americans who care deeply about the political process.” Now deeply caring Yahoo! News-ies can glean insights like what golfer Phil Mickelson can teach Republicans.

“Screenshots, Goooooogle screenshots here.” Googling Google points out an Inside Google post that has what just might be a couple of new looks at Google’s long-rumored calendar application. Assuming they’re legit, it looks like the calendar is less its own thing and more an extension of Gmail.
