2006 Webby Award Winners Revealed

The trophy may not cut as stunning of a figure as, say - this guy (in fact it looks like a deformed Slinky) but the 2006 Webby Award winners are elated just the same.
The 10th annual event will actually go down on June 12th but winners were announced yesterday in 69 business, consumer and culture categories. The competition received a record 5,500 entries from 40 countries across the globe.
Here are some of our favorite awards + winners:
- Breakout of the Year: MySpace.com
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Mark Cuban (BlogMaverick.com)
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Robert Kahn (inventor of TCP/IP protocol)
- Best Copy/Writing: NewYorker.com
- Best Navigation: Flickr.com
- Best Visual Design: Google Earth
- People’s Choice for Best Blog Culture/Personal: CuteOverload.com
