Do Googlers Google? Are Ask employees really Yahooligans at heart?
Nineteen-year-old University of Washington student Andrew Hitchcock wanted to know. So he took a look at the visitors of his web site using Google Analytics and found that the overwhelming majority of users originating from Microsoft’s domain were using Google as their search engine.
From a posting on Hitchcock’s site:
“Do companies drink their own Kool-aid? (or eat their own dog food, depending on which company culture you follow)”
We don’t know either, but gosh darn if we aren’t tired of the red sugary drink as business metaphor. Try something more “out of the box” or we’ll be forced to “escalate that up” to middle management.
More here in The Inquirer.
In related news, two men were arrested when they tried to knock over a Kool-Aid stand, giving one child a black eye and making off with an undisclosed amount of the drink. Where’s the Kool-Aid man when you need him?
