There’s lots of buddying up this week on the Internets, so give a count-off and we’ll get’er started with…
Feelin’ the (Feed)burn Says Techcrunch, blog service TypePad is getting cozy with the syndicator Feedburner today. More from Everything TypePad:
“You can now seamlessly connect your TypePad weblog’s feed to FeedBurner. If you’re already using FeedBurner, this means once you connect your feed, all of your readers who subscribe to your TypePad feeds will automatically receive that content from FeedBurner. And if you’re not using FeedBurner on your blog, once you have a FeedBurner account we make it really easy for you to create a new feed there, and connect it to your TypePad blog.”
This means, among other things, that TypePad bloggers will now enjoy Feedburner’s feed management and stats capabilities, and Feedburner gets plugged in to all that TypePad traffic.
“By our powers combined…” Two entities unite to form something called “Zango.” Hmm…that’s gotta be either transforming cartoon robots, or (ah, yes) AdWare companies. You’ll remember Zango as an AdWare product offered by 180solutions, a firm embattled by accusations of surreptitiously installing its software on unsuspecting users’ machines. Now 180solutions has joined with Hotbar, another controversial firm, and they’ve taken Zango as their new nomme de merge. The deal reportedly brings their total revenue up to $100 million, but Techdirt has reasons why the name change might not have been the best idea.
The position has been filled Job search vertical Jobster has absorbed Recruiting.com, a recruiting industry blog aggregator. Reportedly, Jobster is planning to install search capability for Recruiting.com’s archives, after it’s improved the site’s “visibility” with some marketing and SEO. Recruiting.com hopes that Jobster’s backing will augment its already impressive rep as a source within the “World Wide Recruitosphere…” modesty forces us to admit that we didn’t make up that term.
