If you don’t read anything else…
- Google Video Shoots and Misses: Steve Rubel discusses the NBA’s decision to pull their content from Google Video. Rubel says that the NBA’s decision indicates the failure of Google Video to monetize for content holders.
- DIY Bombmaking: The NY Times reports today that a group of republican senators are behind a website that details Gov’t secrets of How To Make A Bomb. Is there another primer in there on How To Aggrevate a War?
- Social Media Money: ClickZ reports that Social Media advertising spend could reach as high as $2 billion by 2010. The only roadblock, says the post, is coming up with legitimate web measurement standards.
- Opening Doors: Linux will run in Windows, now thanks to an agreement between former rivals Microsoft and Novell. This is the second open-source agreement made by Microsoft in the past week - the first with software maker Zend.
- Zune Tunes Out MSN Music: Ars Technica says that the launch of Zune will coincide with the termination of MSN Music. They report, “Zune will be a big chance for Microsoft’s music strategy” - and a big risk, if Zune’s closed music market doesn’t succeed in making a dent in Apple.
- Legalese + Chinese = ?: VentureBeat breaks the news that Yahoo China is suing popular search engine Qihoo for embezzlement and fraud.
