$4 Million Funding for Wize, Consumer Review Search Engine

Wize, a search engine for consumer product reviews, today announced it’s first round of funding - $4 million from Mayfield Fund and Bessermer Venture Partners. Wize is best known for its “Wize Rank” algorithm - a play off of Google’s Page Rank that measures user reviews, professional product ratings, online buzz and comparable product offerings. From the Wize About page, “Wize.com offers a better way to do consumer research. Wize Rank, made up of tens of thousands of user and expert reviews from across the web, is a rating system that helps customers quickly identify the best products in every category before digging into the details.”
