As you can see from her picture, media analyst Vicky Fudali can be J.D. Salinger-like in her elusiveness, plus she’s on a mountain in the snow which is so totally Yeti-esque. Still, we were able to snag her long enough to answer a few questions before she slipped back into the high peaks at the back range of the Reprise Media offices where the powder is deep and the slopes are steep. As I write today a fog deeper and more profound than the one shrouding the city last night has settled in over my cranium. Could it be that multiple Maker’s Marks on a Wednesday night are not the best of ideas? No matter, it was Reprise Media’s holiday party and there was no room for mopeyness or revelry squelching.
The laptop and turntables were manned by none other than DJ Spooky, who kept the beats flowing like the open bars throughout the evening. Spooky was an apt choice, having written extensively on the links between new digital media and popular culture.
